Our history

NSW Regional Conservatoriums have led music education since the late 1970s.

For more than 40 years, they have grown to a network of conservatoriums servicing 17 regional centres across NSW.

Our members provide quality music education for regional communities, encompassing specialist instrumental and vocal training, through to curriculum and classroom music support in government and non-government schools.

In 2003, the collective of Regional Conservatoriums formed the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums Incorporated (ANSWRC) as a platform for developing policy and educational cohesion across regional NSW.
